Dysgraphia Tutor Online for Kids: Getting Ideas onto the Page

Live one-to-one online lessons for kids in Pre-K to Grade 7 who find writing hard. We separate the ideas from the handwriting, so your child can show what they know.

Live 1:1 OnlineAges 3 to 12No Diagnosis Needed

Does This Sound Like Your Child?

  • Their hand gets tired fast when writing
  • Letters are different sizes or hard to read
  • Spelling is a struggle
  • Knows what to say but cannot get it onto paper
  • Avoids writing or writes very little
  • Copying from the board takes a long time

How We Teach Writing

1Ideas FirstYour child says or types their ideas before writing, so a tired hand never stops a good idea.
2Letters Formed the Right WayYour tutor writes a letter and your child traces over it in the same spot, from the right start point, with a finger or stylus.
3Spelling Step by StepSpelling is taught by sounds and patterns with letter tiles, not by memorising lists.
4Sentences to ParagraphsSimple frames help your child build a sentence, then join sentences, then plan a paragraph. Typing and speech-to-text are tools, not cheating.

Questions Parents Ask

Is this the same as occupational therapy?

No. We teach writing: spelling, sentences and getting ideas down. If pencil grip or hand strength is the main problem, an occupational therapist can help, and we can work alongside them.

Can handwriting be taught online?

Yes. Your child traces and writes with a finger or stylus on a shared screen while the tutor watches every stroke.

Is typing cheating?

No. Typing and speech-to-text let your child show what they know. We teach both, alongside handwriting.

Does my child need a diagnosis?

No. Tell us what is hard, and we will start there.

How will I know it is working?

A short note after every session and a progress summary every 1 week, with examples of your child's writing.

What ages do you teach?

Ages 3 to 12, from first letters to paragraphs.

Is there a dysgraphia tutor near me?

You do not need one nearby. Sessions are live, one-to-one and online (virtual tutoring by video), so a trained tutor comes to you wherever you live in the US, with no driving.
