Fall articulation questions
- What are fall articulation activities?
- They are speech sound practice pages built around fall words, like squirrel for S, tractor for T and goose for G. The child says each pictured word, colors a circle for every try, then moves up to short fall phrases and sentences, so the season carries the practice from words to connected speech.
- How is this different from your sound packs?
- A sound pack goes deep on one sound all year: full word lists by position, drill sheets, a cue card, a tracker and a data sheet. This fall pack goes wide instead, with one themed page for each of 17 sounds, so a mixed group or a whole caseload can share the same fall session. The two fit together: the sound pack for steady work on the target, the fall page for the season.
- Does it include Halloween or Thanksgiving words?
- No. It sticks to the season itself: leaves, apples, pumpkins, farms, woodland animals and fall weather, so it works in classrooms that do not celebrate holidays and from September right through to Thanksgiving. Our Halloween pack is separate.
- Why are some sounds shorter than others?
- Because the words had to be real fall words that truly carry the sound. A page holds up to eight pictures, and a sound with fewer good fall words gets fewer rather than being padded with words that have nothing to do with fall. Every word was chosen by how it sounds, and its target letters are underlined.
- What formats do I get, and how is it delivered?
