For educators
Special education resources for the autism classroom
Free online makers that build print-ready materials in minutes, and done-for-you printable packs for teachers who would rather download a finished set. Visual schedules, communication boards, token boards, social stories, and data collection sheets, all in one place.
Special education teachers and paraprofessionals spend hours prepping the same core materials every year. Spectrum Unlocked gathers those materials into one place for autism and special education classrooms. Every free maker builds a print-ready PDF you can use the same day, and every printable pack is a finished, done-for-you set for teachers who would rather buy back their prep time than build from scratch.
The resources below are grouped by classroom need, from visual supports and AAC to behavior systems, data collection, and social skills. Each one pairs a free tool or guide with an optional finished pack, so you can start free and upgrade only where it saves you time.

Resources by classroom need
Visual supports and schedules
Visual schedules and routine boards give students a predictable, independent way to move through the day and cut the transitions that trigger meltdowns. Build your own with the free Visual Schedule Creator, read the visual schedule guide for setup and fading, or download the ready-made Visual Schedule Pack.
Communication and AAC
For nonspeaking and emerging communicators, low-tech AAC puts language within reach without a device. Make picture cards with the PECS Card Maker or print core-word boards with the AAC Core Board Maker, and start with AAC for beginners or the PECS cards guide. Finished sets are in the PECS and Core Board packs.
Behavior and reinforcement
Token boards and first-then boards make expectations and rewards concrete, so a student can see what to finish before a preferred activity begins. Build them with the free Token Board Maker and First-Then Board Maker, and see how they fit a plan in the behavior intervention plan guide and the first-then board guide.
Data collection and IEP progress
Consistent data is what makes an IEP defensible at the annual review. The Special Education Data Sheets pack collects ABC, frequency, duration, and goal-progress sheets in print, fillable, and auto-calculating spreadsheet form, and the IEP guide explains how progress monitoring feeds the annual meeting.
Social skills and social stories
Social stories walk a student through a routine or expectation before it happens, so a new situation feels familiar. Write and print one with the free Social Story Maker, or read social stories for autism to see how they work. The Social Stories Pack gives you 20 plus ready to read.
Free sample data sheet

Questions from teachers
- Are these classroom tools free?
- Yes. The makers on Spectrum Unlocked are free to use and print. You build a visual schedule, communication board, token board, first-then board, or social story and download a print-ready PDF at no cost. The done-for-you printable packs are sold right here on Spectrum Unlocked, for teachers who want a finished set without building it. You buy, download instantly, and can re-download anytime from your resources library.

- Because the packs are instant digital downloads, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds. If a file will not open or you bought the wrong pack, email info@spectrumunlocked.com and we will make it right.
- What data collection sheets do you offer?
- The Special Education Data Sheets pack includes ABC (antecedent-behavior-consequence), frequency, duration, interval, and latency sheets, plus IEP goal progress, 1:1 and small-group instruction data, a token log, and a home communication log.
