- No, and the card says so at the top: the student notices, an adult decides. It lists what to report and how fast, drawn from veterinary school and public health guidance, and two rules at the foot say do not give the animal medicine, food or water to fix a problem, and if you are not sure, tell someone anyway.
- How does a student know how much to feed?
- They read it off a feeding card an adult fills in first, and they measure that exact amount and level it off. If the card is missing or the amount is unclear, the routine tells them to stop and ask a named person rather than guess, because the right amount depends on the animal and not on the size of the scoop.
