Questions from teachers
- Is this paying bills worksheet really free?
- Yes, it costs nothing. Enter your email and it downloads right away. Your email lets the link reach you and joins the educators list for occasional resources, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- How do I get the pages?
- Add your email on this page. The sample opens immediately, a copy is emailed to you, and it lands in your My Resources library so you can reprint it whenever you need it.
- What is on the bill in the sample?
- A full utility bill with the fields a real one prints: account number, service period, previous balance, payments received, current charges, total amount due, due date, late charge rule. The student answers who they pay, how much the total amount due is, when it is due, and what the bill says happens if they pay late. Every one of those answers is printed on the bill in front of them, so you can mark the page against the bill itself.
- What is the scam page for?
- Any pack that teaches a student to phone a company about their bill owes them the reverse case, where the call comes to them. The page carries the FTC's advice in plain lines: a real company will not threaten to shut you off today, a real company will never ask you to pay with a gift card, a wire, crypto or a payment app, hang up and call the number printed on your own bill, and never read your account number to someone who called you.
- What is in the full pack?
- Four mock bills with an answer key, a full-page labeled bill with eight callouts, a six-step paying sequence, a two-month calendar, a rent page, an autopay page, three cannot-pay cards with the script card, a my-real-bill transfer sheet, a teacher page, a portfolio sheet and three copy-paste IEP goals, in US Letter and A4.
- Can I use the sample with more than one student?
- Yes. Print the data sheet once per student; the bill page and the scam page are reusable as many times as you need for your own students.
