- Why are some sounds shorter than others?
- Because the words had to be real Thanksgiving words that truly carry the sound. A page holds up to eight pictures, and a sound with fewer good Thanksgiving words gets fewer rather than being padded with words that have nothing to do with the holiday. Every word was chosen by how it sounds, and its target letters are underlined.
