An autism ID card is information you choose to share. It is not a government ID, a medical document or a TSA form.
When a child melts down in a store or runs off at the park, the adults nearby want to help and do not know how. A card you hand over, or one your child carries, gives them the facts quickly: your child is autistic, what they may do, what helps, and your phone number.
The sample is written for Sam, so each line starts with Sam may. Put your child's first name in the maker and every line changes with it. Keep a copy in your bag, one in your child's backpack, and give one to anyone who looks after your child.
