Halloween candy is a high-interest way into real math, taught as a sort, count, graph, trade and budget sequence a student works with cut-apart cards and word problems. This pack has fifteen candy photo cards that sort into four categories with a counting step, a blank bar graph with a most and least question, eight fair-trading scenario cards each with a bolded answer and a reasoning line, and four candy-budget word problems whose answer key is computed from the numbers so it can never drift. It extends the Grocery Math and money skills format, with a reusable ten-row data sheet and three IEP goals, for teens and young adults in life skills and transition programs.

Questions from teachers
- What is in this pack, and who is it for?
- It has fifteen cut-apart candy photo cards that sort into four categories with a counting step, a blank bar graph, eight fair-trading scenario cards and four candy-budget word problems, plus a data sheet and three IEP goals. It is written for teens and young adults from about 13 to 21 in special education, life skills and transition programs who are working on sorting, counting, graphing and money math.
- How does it teach the math?
- In three levels that build on each other. Level one sorts and counts the candy cards into the four boxes. Level two colors one box per piece on the bar graph and answers which type there is the most and the least of. Level three works the fair-trading scenarios and the candy-budget problems, deciding if a trade is even and if a budget covers the list.
- Do I need real candy to use it?
- No. Every card carries a photo of a single wrapped item, so the sorting and counting work straight from the printed deck. Real candy is a nice option if you have it, and keeping a few pieces on hand raises interest, but nothing in the pack depends on it.
- Are the prices in the budget problems real?
- They are fixed classroom examples chosen to make the math clear, and the answer key is computed from those numbers so it can never drift from the problem. Real store prices change and include tax, so preview any real trip and let students round up to be safe. The point is the skill of checking whether the money covers the list.
- What formats do I get, and how is it delivered?
- Print-ready PDFs in US Letter and A4. Delivery is instant: the download unlocks the moment Stripe checkout completes, a copy of the link is emailed to you, and the files stay in your My Resources library behind a magic link. The pack is licensed for personal and single-classroom use by the purchaser.
