A homeschool ID card is a card your school issues, not a government ID. Stores that give teacher or student discounts set their own rules, so check with the store before you go.

A homeschool teacher ID card is for the parent who does the teaching. Families bring one on field trips, where a museum or science center may ask whether the group is a school, and to stores that give an educator discount and accept a homeschool ID. Some co-ops and libraries ask for one on class days too.

The card above is a finished sample for Jordan Rivera of Maple Grove Academy, so you can see what goes where before you start. Customize in Editor opens the same card in the free maker with every word in place, ready for your own name, photo and school name.
