Frequently asked questions
- How is a language session plan different from an articulation one?
- The flow is the same but what counts as correct is wider. You score the whole utterance rather than a sound, so the plan says plainly that a one word answer is not correct at sentence level, and it keeps one uncued row to test whether the skill survives without a prompt.
- Why include a mixed row with no cue?
- Because cued rows can look like mastery when the student is following the order rather than the picture. The mixed row is the honesty check: when it scores close to the cued rows, the skill is real and ready to move on.
- How do I write an objective for a language goal?
- Name the stimulus, the response, and the count: given a picture of a person acting, the student describes it using the correct pronoun in a three word sentence in eight of ten opportunities. That phrasing is what makes the trial record scorable without interpretation.
- Can I use this plan for a small group?
- The record is built for one student, one target list. For two to five students working a shared skill, the Small Group Lesson template carries a per student data grid instead, and it cross-links from the templates gallery.
